Research Results Outline: 第二次世界大戦後、イギリス帝国から世界各地の植民地が独立した。帝国の崩壊、ナショナリズムの高揚、植民地独立というこの世界史的な混乱の最中、実はイギリ 第二次世界大戦後、イギリス帝国から世界各地の植民地が独立した。帝国の崩壊、ナショナリズムの高揚、植民地独立というこの世界史的な混乱の最中、実はイギリスが不都合な文書を必死で隠蔽していたようだということが最近になって分かってきた。 一体誰が、何を隠... 第二次世界大戦後、イギリス帝国から世界各地の植民地が独立した。帝国の崩壊、ナショナリズムの高揚、植民地独立というこの世界史的な混乱の最中、実はイギリスが不都合な文書を必死で隠蔽していたようだということが最近になって分かってきた。 一体誰が、何を隠蔽しなければならなかったのか?植民地支配の歴史をどのように正当化しようとたのか?イギリス帝国が20世紀中頃から後半にかけて世界各地で行った文書隠蔽工作の全容を解明することが、私の研究の全体像だ。 この全体像のうち、本計画では、特に文書隠蔽工作の初期段階に注目した。一体いつ、誰が、何の目的のために文書隠蔽工作を策定したのか?この問いに答えるために、本計画では、まずは二次資料を使用して基礎的な調査を行った。
