チェコスロヴァキア主義の形成と衰退

Research Results Outline:昨年度の課題では19世紀前半におけるチェコスロヴァキア主義の成立過程とそのナーロト概念に関する研究を行った。この成果は「1810~1820年代のチェコ昨年度の課題では19世紀前半におけるチェコスロヴァキア主義の成立過程とそのナーロト概念に関する研究を行った。この成果は「1810~1820年代のチェコスロヴァキア主義におけるナーロト概念の成立」(『史観』第150冊、2004年3月)に論文としてまと...昨年度の課題では19世紀前半におけるチェコスロヴァキア主義の成立過程とそのナーロト概念に関する研究を行った。この成果は「1810~1820年代のチェコスロヴァキア主義におけるナーロト概念の成立」(『史観』第150冊、2004年3月)に論文としてまとめた。今年度は、研究対象時期を1830年代に絞り、チェコスロヴァキア主義の衰退過程を中心に研究した。この結果、1840年代に興隆するスロヴァキア主義に基づくスロヴァキア国民概念は、衰退期のチェコスロヴァキア主義から多くの影響を受けていることが判明した。とりわけ、女性を含む居住民全体を包摂する言語・文化的な民族概念、そうした民族の生存権などが継承されていることが分かった。これについては、現在、学術雑誌への寄稿を視野に論文化の途上にある。

Research Results Outline: 本研究は、1810年代から20年代の北部ハンガリー(現スロヴァキア)の福音派のチェコスロヴァキア主義者によって措定された「チェコスロヴァキア種族」( 本研究は、1810年代から20年代の北部ハンガリー(現スロヴァキア)の福音派のチェコスロヴァキア主義者によって措定された「チェコスロヴァキア種族」(ceskoslovensky kmen)概念を重点的に検証した。この概念は、近代の北部ハンガリーに... 本研究は、1810年代から20年代の北部ハンガリー(現スロヴァキア)の福音派のチェコスロヴァキア主義者によって措定された「チェコスロヴァキア種族」(ceskoslovensky kmen)概念を重点的に検証した。この概念は、近代の北部ハンガリーにおいて構築された最後のゲンス概念であると同時に、最後のナティオの編成例であった。当概念は、伝統的なナティオ概念の特権社団性を払拭することをめざしつつ、一方で、公用語であるラテン語に代えて俗語による議論の再構成をも企図した。こうした重層的な意図のなかで、近代「国民」概念の原型となるチェコスロヴァキア主義者の「ナーロト」概念が措定されていくことになる。 本研究の成果は、特権身分層に限定される後期中世以来の伝統的なナティオ概念が、福音派のチェコスロヴァキア主義者によって、いかなる論理をもってその社団性を概念上払拭し、言語集団全体を含み込むようなナーロト概念に転化していったのか、その過程を究明した点である。とりわけ、啓蒙的理性に裏打ちされたナーロトの生存権の定立、祖国概念の再定義、女性のシンボル化によってその論理が構築されていることが解明された。こうした論理によって、言語集団全体を含むナーロト概念、すなわち、伝統的なナティオ概念から除外されていた広範な非特権層、なによりも「女性」を含み込む概念が初めて措定されたのである。下層民や女性を含む構成上平準的なナーロト概念の初の提示は、ナーロトの「解放」や「復興」ではなく、ナーロト概念の「下方拡大」という意味において、近代「国民」概念の形成史における極めて重要な位置を占めるのである。 本研究は、早稲田大学史学会編の『史観』第150冊(2004年3月)に寄稿することをめざして、現在、論文化の過程にある。
