Outline:The goal of this study was to evaluate the physiological responses during field tests(FT)in between nordic walking (NW)and normal walking (W). Two healthy middle-aged men and four healthy women participated in this FT experiments. Heart rate (HR)and Electromyogram(EMG)were monitored continuously by portable data logger device. The disciplines showed differences during all trials in integrated EMG value between NW and W The maximum increasing value was measured at upper limb muscles. In accordance with HR, was higher in NW compared with W during all stages. While there were higher HR for NW and W There were no differences for the HR: Our results demonstrate that metabolic responses are a helpful instrument to assess the intensity during bipedal exercise. As NW EMG activity is higher than in W test measures i upper limb and partly lower limb. These data was showed it's suitable for NW training recommendations.

Outline:The objective of this study was to analyze three-dimensional motion chains of pitching movement of three different skill levels pitcher, and the relevance of pitching disorder and pitching motion. The pitching motion recorded for all subjects performed the maximum their effort from the mound for throwing the ball. Then four points of every picture were digitized per 1/500 second. Three-dimensional coordinates for the segment endpoints were computed by a direct linear transformation (DLT) method. Pitching motion was kinetic chain to the upper limb from the lower limb, regardless of the level. It was the timing to transmit the speed and motion changes to the rotation from translation to create a good motion, the influence of which is related to the pitching disorder. The pitching motion, it is possible to produce a kinetic chain for efficient to sense the timing of throwing direction and balance. Were pitching efficient motion becomes to prevent throw disorder.

Outline:We produced the average face by combining forty-one facial images of female college students in order to investigate how the facial impression changes depending on distance between eyes and eyebrows. Furthermore, we produced ten experiment samples by shortening or widening distance between them of the average face in five steps respectively. These images were presented individually to ninety college students, and they were asked to evaluate them using twenty adjective pairs. Consequently, the average face received high evaluations about likability-related impressions, while the faces with shorter distance between eyes and eyebrow got high evaluations about activity-related impressions. Moreover, two principal component ("degree of refinement" and "femininity") were extracted as a result of principal component analysis to evaluation scores. It was found that degree of refinement was likely to be affected by the perceived size of the eyes, and femininity was defined by distance between eyes and eyebrow.

Outline:This study was performed in a purpose whether lycopene intake before exercise suppressed an active oxygen production. The subjects are five boys university students. The exercise reached with load of 70% HRmax using a bicycle ergometer. As for the results, heart rate and an oxidative stress degree did not have the effect by presence or absence of lycopene intake. However, the antioxidant powers significantly increased by lycopene intake.

Outline:Back groud and aims: Nailfold capillaroscopy is usefull for determine the state of peripheral microvessels in various disease, especially rheumatic disease. While capillary loss is well known in essential hypertension as findings of the cardiovascular disease, clinical significance of horizontal capillaries is not well known. We have examined the relationship between serum concentration of brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and horizontal vessels in nailfold capillary microscopy.Method: The study examined 78 patients 60 years of age or older. Serum BNP concentration was measured for all cases, and we examined the statistical significant difference of the cases with and without findings of transverse blood vessels by the nailfold capillary microscopy.Result: Serum BNP concentration increased in many cases with a horizontal vessels and significant difference was observed statistically. BNP concentration was enough to slightly more than normal values.Discussion: Using the nailfold capillary microscopy, deformation of the vessel in the vertical direction is most notable. On the other hand, the meaning of the transverse blood vessels has received less attention. Evaluated the observation of blood flow of many finger tips, it was considered that the blood flow in the horizontal direction is venous blood flow. We estimated that horizontal blood flow means the decrease of venous return, namely expresses the early state of congestion of the right ventricle of the heart. Since the BNP rise and this finding had a significant difference statistically, we considered nailfold microcapillary findings can reveal early stage of congestion of right ventricle of the heart.

教養体育教育のカリキュラム変遷と開発

Research Results Outline:教養体育教育のカリキュラム試案を作成した。大学体育連合のメールニュースを介してパブリックコメントを募集し、種々なる意見を聴取した。その結果、一般教養に教養体育教育のカリキュラム試案を作成した。大学体育連合のメールニュースを介してパブリックコメントを募集し、種々なる意見を聴取した。その結果、一般教養における体育の重要性の認識がきわめて認識が低いことが明らかとなった。これは、人間の健康を考える時には...教養体育教育のカリキュラム試案を作成した。大学体育連合のメールニュースを介してパブリックコメントを募集し、種々なる意見を聴取した。その結果、一般教養における体育の重要性の認識がきわめて認識が低いことが明らかとなった。これは、人間の健康を考える時には、基本的な認識にかけていることが指摘されよう。このことは、人間として、また健康を追及する観点からは、考えなければなないということが認識される。ここで大事なのは、これば体育教育に従事していない一般の方々から意見を伺くことで大学体育教育の位置づけを諮るものである。今回、この点に関しては、十分な意見の徴収がされなかったが、現状の認識を考える上では、資料の収集ができた。我々は、この意見をもとに試案を作成した。また、分野別専門家に検証を依頼し、そのコメントをいただいた。そして、新たに、最終な案を作成して、全国の大学にその内容について問うているところである。まだ、結果は分析をおこない、まとめているところである。

笑顔の表情の画像の大きさによる違いの影響について

Research Results Outline:本研究では、その笑顔形成の能力は、以下の3つの特徴量をもとに算出をした。笑顔の認知特性として、両外眼角の距離と外眼角から口角への垂線の距離から、目と口本研究では、その笑顔形成の能力は、以下の3つの特徴量をもとに算出をした。笑顔の認知特性として、両外眼角の距離と外眼角から口角への垂線の距離から、目と口で補間する表情矩形アスペクト比を算出した。ここで笑顔のアスペクト比の区分によって笑顔形成能力のポイ...本研究では、その笑顔形成の能力は、以下の3つの特徴量をもとに算出をした。笑顔の認知特性として、両外眼角の距離と外眼角から口角への垂線の距離から、目と口で補間する表情矩形アスペクト比を算出した。ここで笑顔のアスペクト比の区分によって笑顔形成能力のポイントを付与した。また、眼裂の針状度の算出では、上眼瞼と下眼瞼に囲まれた眼裂の最大横幅と最大縦幅から、針状度を算出する。さらに、下唇傾斜度の算出は、開口部と下唇の境界線を水平方向に6分割し、口角から、2番目の傾きを算出する。画像の大きさを大・中・小の三種類をして、3つ笑顔指数のポイントを合計した。そのポイントと大・中・小の提示画像の与えられたポイント比較した。さらに、笑顔形成には、精神負荷が反映されやすいので、そのことにより、笑顔の認識率が低下されることから、簡易ストレス評価も実施した。その結果、大中小の画像を比較すると、画像が小さいほど、ポイント付世率が低く、画像が小さいほど、ストレス評価値も高くなることが明らかになった。

ヘリウム混合ガス圧暴露によって生じる運動麻痺への再圧の効果について

Research Results Outline: 本研究は,きわめて短い時間の高圧曝露にヘリウム混合ガスを用いたときの再圧の影響を見たものである。 実験方法は,Wister系雄ラットを小型動物用 本研究は,きわめて短い時間の高圧曝露にヘリウム混合ガスを用いたときの再圧の影響を見たものである。 実験方法は,Wister系雄ラットを小型動物用高圧タンクに入れ,ヘリウム酸素混合ガスで7ATAまで急速加圧し,20分間保圧した後,毎分20atm... 本研究は,きわめて短い時間の高圧曝露にヘリウム混合ガスを用いたときの再圧の影響を見たものである。 実験方法は,Wister系雄ラットを小型動物用高圧タンクに入れ,ヘリウム酸素混合ガスで7ATAまで急速加圧し,20分間保圧した後,毎分20atmの速さで1ATA(大気圧)まで減圧した。ヘリオックス圧曝露からの減圧終了10分後,ラットを高圧タンクから取り出し生死を確認した。そして,ヘリオックス圧曝露からの減圧終了後15分から20分間,3ATAの空気再圧をおこなった。 3ATAにて20分間の空気再圧を行った実験では,12例中6例が両後肢麻痺,4例が起立できない状態であった。また,残りの2例では,異常動作はみられなかった。 空気再圧後4例が死亡したが,いずれも再圧前は,両後肢麻痺の状態であり,再圧中は症状に変化はなかった。このうち2例は,再圧を終了し,1ATAに戻った直後,激しく喘ぎ,死亡した。精巣上体付随の脂肪組織では,血管外気泡と共に大量の気泡がみられた。 再圧治療が効果をあげるには,症状がなくなるまで気泡を縮小させるばかりでなく,その後の減圧で気泡が拡大して再び減圧症が引き起こされたり,途中の経過で新たな気泡が形成されないことが必要とされている。 不完全な再圧では,気泡が吸収消失せず溶解窒素量が増加すること,また再圧中に縮小した静脈中の気泡が動脈側へと移動し,減圧中に動脈側で再度大きくなり,より重篤な症状を引き起こすことなども減圧症の悪化や再発の要因として挙げられる。

Research Results Outline:GPSはアメリカ合衆国でうちあげられている衛星からの電波を受信して、位置情報を得ている。民間利用については、スクランブルをかけられていることで精度は、GPSはアメリカ合衆国でうちあげられている衛星からの電波を受信して、位置情報を得ている。民間利用については、スクランブルをかけられていることで精度は、約100メートルほどの誤差を生じている。我が国日本では、この米国のGPS政策の庇護(直接課金なし)...GPSはアメリカ合衆国でうちあげられている衛星からの電波を受信して、位置情報を得ている。民間利用については、スクランブルをかけられていることで精度は、約100メートルほどの誤差を生じている。我が国日本では、この米国のGPS政策の庇護(直接課金なし)のもとで測量やカーナビゲーションの中で民間分野で100%その恩恵に浴しているといってよい。特に、地殻変動や地震予知などの公共精密測量の分野では、GPSは必須のツールとして考えざるをえない。また、沿岸航行安全や気象予報などで多様な活用されていく趨勢であるといえよう。国土地理院を中心とするグループでは精密測量技術・空間地図座標基準数値モデルなどの高度のサービス技術や技術支援がある。これらのGPS関連システムやGPS関連基本システムは、、技術開発とともに我々の日常生活をより豊かにしていくものとなることは間違いのないことになろう。とりわけ、具体的な産業分野や日常生活ではこの恩恵をよくしている応用的な側面からの成果も大である。これらの成果をこの1998年7月と2000年の6月に国際会議場を舞台として、世界で利用されているGPSに関する技術開発や理論的な研究成果やGPS政策について、アジア諸国、オーストラリアやアメリカを交えて論議する予定である。
