Profile

Atsushi Nakazawa, PhD is Associate Professor in the School of Sport Sciences, Waseda University, Tokyo Japan. His research explores the social and historical relationships between education and sport, especially focusing on school sport in secondary education in Japan, the U.S.A. and United Kingdom. He has published widely in his native Japanese, and he has also recently contributed to the English language edited volume, Safeguarding, Child Protection and Abuse in Sport: International Perspectives in Research, Policy and Practice (Routledge, 2014) and Routledge Handbook of Youth Sport (Routledge, 2016).
