Education Content And Method Device

Office hours

2005/04-

Detail

Outline:I hold office hours twice a week, for 90 minutes each time. I also schedule additional office hours by apointment when requested by students.

Powerpoint and multimedia presentations

2005/04-

Detail

Outline:In all of my classes, I use Powerpoint presentations and Internet teaching tools where I think that this enhances the learning experience. Many of the readings and a substantial amount of the independent study which the students conduct come from Internet sources. Students therefore develop their Internet skills in my classes. Also, in my seminars, I strongly encourage my students to give Powerpoint presentations, to develop their skills in this area.

Class web pages

2005/07-

Detail

Outline:With the help of a research assistant, I am developing a homepage where all of my lecture notes, Powerpoint presentations and important Internet links can be found. At present, I make all of this information available on the mail lists, but in the medium-term it will be more efficient to disseminate this information on a tailored webpage. My objective is to have the webpage running for all classes by April 2006.
