The purpose of this research was to attempt to develop corporate governance guidelines that might fit the needs of listed companies in Japan. My investigation included a one-week period of interviews with corporate governance experts and detailed comparisons of corporate governance models from other countries. As a result of my investigation I have discovered some significant possibilities for increasing global confidence in corporate governance in Japan. I plan to publish the outcome of my research as a paper of high quality that will be submitted to a peer-reviewed academic journal in the future.
